Boating on the Avon at Evesham

The market town of Evesham, on the banks of the River Avon, is the centre of the Vale of Evesham.

The Vale of Evesham is world famous for its produce of fruit and vegetables and a sheer delight to drive through when the the apple and pear blossom is out.  You can stop at any of the many farm shops for apples, pears, plums, damsons, salad, asparagus depending on the season in which you visit

As with most of this area, the historic connections are there in abundance, Evesham's history can be traced back to its' medieval abbey founded in the 8th century by St Ecgwin.
